These are images that I took in Singapore, as part of my journey to document Singapore to the best of my ability. Photos are taken on 135mm, colour and b&w.
I just love photographing empty chairs; empty chairs evoke emptiness and film enhances that feeling. I would imagine the chair to be lonely, waiting for someone to use it. Or maybe the chair was once loved by its owner, but it has served its purpose and thus discarded or chucked somewhere where it clearly doesn’t belong to. A lonely chair can also evoke fear, as often being portrayed in horror films. Photos are taken on 35mm, colour and b&w.
